[expand title=”Who is an appropriate resident for Living Springs Village?” rel=”faq-highlander”]
Living Springs Village specializes in memory care, so each resident will have a dementia diagnosis. There are various types of dementia, so a resident may not necessarily have an Alzheimer’s Diagnosis. Our residence is not a skilled nursing home, so our residents cannot be bedbound or have skin breakdown when they are admitted to Living Springs Village nor can they be an insulin-dependent diabetic. Because of our home atmosphere style of community living, an initial assessment will be completed by the administrator to ensure an applicant is appropriate for Living Springs Village. This is part of our effort to ensure that all of our residents receive the care they need in a home-like setting and that Living Springs Village is the best placement for each incoming resident.

[expand title=”What is the application process?” rel=”faq-highlander”]
The administrator of Living Springs Village will meet with each applicant and their family to assist in the admission process. An initial assessment by the administrator will determine if the person is appropriate for our residential setting. Each incoming resident is required to have a physical examination by their physician within 30 days prior to their admission to Living Springs Village. If the resident’s physician concurs with the decision for assisted living placement in a memory care setting, the physician will provide an order for admission as well as other appropriate orders for medications and diet. When the incoming resident arrives at the facility, the Living Springs Village RN will conduct an initial assessment to clarify orders for medications, diet and all care needs of the new resident.
